If so, we have the perfect position for you. The Architect of the Capitol is seeking a Pipefitter Helper/Pipefitter Worker to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will work alongside experienced pipefitters to assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of various plumbing and HVAC systems throughout our facilities. - Assist experienced pipefitters in the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing and HVAC systems in various buildings.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures while working with potentially hazardous materials and in confined spaces.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote a safe and efficient work environment.
- Learn and understand blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to assist in the completion of tasks.
- Operate and maintain hand and power tools, as well as specialized equipment, to complete assigned tasks.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Adhere to all building codes and regulations while performing duties.
- Learn and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and maneuvering heavy equipment and materials.
- Attend and participate in training sessions and workshops to improve skills and knowledge.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing the organization.
- Report any issues or concerns to supervisors in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assist in maintaining inventory and ordering necessary supplies and materials.
- Continuously seek opportunities to learn and grow within the trade of pipefitting.
- Embrace and promote a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork within the organization.
Knowledge And Experience In Pipefitting: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Pipefitting Techniques, Tools, And Materials. They Should Also Have Experience In Reading And Interpreting Blueprints And Schematics.
Physical Abilities: This Position Requires Physical Stamina And The Ability To Work In Tight Spaces And At Various Heights. The Candidate Should Be Able To Lift Heavy Objects, Climb Ladders And Scaffolding, And Work In Both Indoor And Outdoor Environments.
Safety Training And Certifications: The Candidate Should Have Completed Safety Training And Hold Relevant Certifications Such As Osha 10 Or 30-Hour Construction Safety Training, First Aid/Cpr, And Confined Space Entry.
Teamwork And Communication Skills: As A Helper/Worker, The Candidate Will Be Working Closely With A Team Of Pipefitters And Other Tradespeople. They Should Have Strong Communication Skills And The Ability To Work Collaboratively To Complete Tasks Efficiently.
Attention To Detail And Time Management: The Candidate Should Possess Strong Attention To Detail To Ensure Accurate And Precise Work. They Should Also Be Able To Manage Their Time Effectively To Meet Project Deadlines And Work Efficiently.
