  1. Perform painting and finishing tasks on various surfaces, including walls, ceilings, and trim, using a variety of techniques and tools.
  2. Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as needed.
  3. Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired hues and shades for specific projects.
  4. Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working at heights and using ladders, scaffolding, and other equipment.
  5. Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
  6. Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to plan and execute painting projects in a timely manner.
  7. Keep track of inventory and supplies, and notify supervisors when materials need to be restocked.
  8. Conduct regular inspections of painted surfaces to identify any areas that need touch-ups or repairs.
  9. Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to ensure their needs and expectations are met.
  10. Stay up-to-date on current painting techniques and trends, and make recommendations for improvement or updates to existing methods.
  11. Adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines for working in a historic and prestigious setting.
  12. Uphold the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship in all painting projects.
  13. Represent the Architect of the Capitol in a professional and courteous manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Professional Experience In Painting And Coatings Application.

  • Proficiency In A Variety Of Painting Techniques, Including Brush, Roller, And Spray Application.

  • Knowledge Of And Experience With Different Types Of Paints, Primers, And Coatings, Including Environmentally-Friendly Options.

  • Familiarity With Safety Protocols And Procedures Related To Painting And Working At Heights.

  • Ability To Read And Interpret Blueprints, Schematics, And Other Technical Drawings Related To Painting Projects.
