Job Description

The Architect of the Capitol (AOC) is seeking an experienced Construction Representative (Project Controls) to join our team. This individual will be responsible for managing the successful delivery of construction projects from initiation to completion. The ideal candidate will have strong project controls knowledge and experience with the AOC’s construction management process. If you are an organized, detail-oriented professional with a passion for delivering exceptional projects, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.The successful candidate will have a minimum of seven years of experience in construction, project controls, and/or project management. Candidates must also possess a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field. Additionally, the successful candidate must have knowledge of applicable federal statutes, regulations, and policies governing construction and AOC requirements.This is an incredible chance to join an organization that is dedicated to preserving and restoring the Capitol and Congressional buildings. Responsibilities:

  1. Manage construction projects from initiation to completion.
  2. Analyze the AOC’s construction management process and develop project controls solutions.
  3. Ensure compliance with applicable federal statutes, regulations, and policies governing construction and AOC requirements.
  4. Monitor project progress and track milestones to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
  5. Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders/contractors.
  6. Prepare and review project reports; analyze data to identify trends and take corrective action as needed.
  7. Develop and implement quality assurance/control systems.
  8. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and other relevant guidelines.
  9. Provide guidance and support to project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  10. Identify and resolve project issues in an efficient and timely manner.
