
Application Engineer
The Application Engineer is a position with many opportunities. There will be considerable time in the lab to learn instrument setups, how to use the probe station, talking data, and lab automation. These lab measurements are key to answering customer questions. Work closely with peers to learn about how to gather and present data to customers. Use ticketing system to steadily move from answering simpler to more complex requests. Regular attendance at technical design reviews to provide exposure to inter-disciplinary detailed design discussions. Training on some of MACOM’s design tools, such as Keysight’s Advanced Design System. Actively participate in customer meetings and calls (with a senior level engineer for assistance at first). Support the quality and reliability teams in their customer support endeavors, updating datasheets and application notes, and improving device documentation.
An eagerness to learn and potentially take further electrical engineering classes.
