Job Description

The Outreach Specialist is responsible for helping to develop, implement, monitor and evaluate all promotional materials for the program; inclusive of print, video, and social media platforms, as well as the distribution of safer sex materials to members of the target demographic. The Outreach Specialist also ensures that the program is coordinated with APLA Health & Wellness’ harm reduction philosophy and larger health education goals. Recruit members of the target population to participate in health education activities and HIV and STD testing and treatment. Develop marketing tools to be used by Project IMPACT staff and volunteers. Provide health education activities to members of the target population.

Job Qualifications
  • Training experience working in HIV prevention and health education health education and/or substance abuse treatment and program development

  • 2 years of experience working with a young gay and non-gay identified African American and Latino MSM
