- Assist in the maintenance and operation of Amtrak's electrical substations.
- Perform routine inspections and repairs of electrical equipment.
- Monitor and record equipment performance and report any abnormalities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in a timely manner.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures while working in the substations.
- Learn and adhere to all federal and state regulations and standards for electrical work.
- Communicate effectively with team members and superiors to ensure smooth operation of the substations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all maintenance and repairs performed.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance knowledge and skills in the electric power industry.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and dedication to completing tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in and around the substations.
- Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures for optimal performance of the substations.
- Handle any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.
