  1. Oversee the bank reconciliation process for Amtrak, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial data.
  2. Utilize strong knowledge of financial regulations to ensure compliance and accuracy in all reconciliations.
  3. Manage a team of accountants and provide guidance and support in completing bank reconciliations.
  4. Develop and implement procedures and controls to improve the bank reconciliation process.
  5. Analyze and review financial data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  6. Communicate with various departments, including finance and operations, to gather necessary information and ensure accuracy in reconciliations.
  7. Stay informed of industry developments and changes in financial regulations to ensure compliance and make necessary adjustments to processes.
  8. Prepare and present reports on bank reconciliation status and progress to upper management.
  9. Collaborate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation and support for financial audits.
  10. Continuously identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in bank reconciliations.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Accounting Or Finance

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Bank Reconciliation, Preferably In A Corporate Or Banking Setting

  • Strong Knowledge Of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (Gaap) And Financial Reporting

  • Experience With Accounting Software, Such As Sap Or Oracle, And Advanced Proficiency In Microsoft Excel

  • Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Identify And Resolve Discrepancies In Bank Statements And General Ledger Accounts.
