  1. Develop and implement effective learning solutions that align with Amtrak's overall business goals and objectives.
  2. Serve as the subject matter expert on learning systems and technologies, staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify training needs and design learning programs that meet those needs.
  4. Evaluate and select appropriate learning systems and technologies to support the organization's learning initiatives.
  5. Create and maintain a user-friendly interface for all learning systems, ensuring accessibility and ease of use for employees.
  6. Train and support employees in effectively utilizing learning systems and technologies.
  7. Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of learning programs to measure effectiveness and make necessary improvements.
  8. Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely resolutions to ensure uninterrupted access to learning systems.
  9. Act as a liaison between the learning and development team and external vendors to ensure the timely delivery of quality training materials.
  10. Mentor and coach junior learning systems specialists to enhance their skills and contribute to the overall success of the team.
  11. Stay current on industry regulations and compliance standards related to employee learning and development.
  12. Collaborate with other departments to integrate learning systems into other HR processes, such as performance management and career development.
  13. Continuously seek opportunities to innovate and improve learning systems and processes to enhance the overall employee learning experience.
  14. Communicate with stakeholders to gather feedback and make necessary adjustments to learning programs to meet their needs.
  15. Adhere to budget and timelines for learning system projects and initiatives.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience With Learning Management Systems: Candidates For This Role Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Learning Management Systems (Lms) And Be Able To Navigate And Utilize Them Effectively. This Includes Experience With System Administration, User Management, Course Creation, And Reporting.

  • Strong Technical Skills: A Senior Learning Systems Specialist Should Have A Strong Technical Background And Be Able To Troubleshoot And Resolve Technical Issues Related To The Lms. Proficiency In Html, Css, And Javascript Is Also Important For Customizing And Enhancing The Lms.

  • Project Management Experience: This Role Will Involve Managing Multiple Projects Related To The Lms, Such As System Upgrades, New Feature Implementations, And Training Initiatives. Candidates Should Have Experience In Project Management And Be Able To Effectively Prioritize Tasks And Meet Deadlines.

  • Training And Instructional Design Experience: As A Senior Learning Systems Specialist, One May Also Be Responsible For Creating And Delivering Training Materials For The Lms. Experience In Instructional Design And Training Delivery Is Important For Developing Effective And Engaging Learning Experiences For End Users.

  • Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills: This Role Will Require Working Closely With Various Stakeholders, Including Subject Matter Experts, Trainers, And It Teams. Candidates Should Possess Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills In Order To Effectively Gather Requirements, Communicate Progress, And Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams.
