- Greet and welcome passengers as they board the train, providing a positive and friendly first impression
- Ensure the safety of all passengers by following safety protocols and procedures
- Collect and verify tickets and other necessary documents from passengers
- Assist passengers with luggage and other belongings, as needed
- Communicate effectively with passengers and other train crew members, providing information and assistance as needed
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness of train cars and station areas
- Adhere to and enforce Amtrak policies and procedures at all times
- Attend and participate in training programs to learn and maintain knowledge of train operations and safety procedures
- Respond to and resolve any customer service issues or concerns in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to train operations and passenger information
- Assist in emergency situations, such as medical emergencies or train delays, following proper protocols and procedures
- Continuously strive to improve the overall passenger experience by identifying and implementing new ideas and best practices.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: The Minimum Educational Requirement For A Passenger Conductor Trainee Job At Amtrak Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent.
Customer Service Experience: A Strong Background In Customer Service Is Essential For A Passenger Conductor Trainee, As They Will Be Interacting With Passengers On A Daily Basis. Previous Experience In A Customer-Facing Role, Such As Retail Or Hospitality, Is Highly Preferred.
