1. Greet and welcome passengers on board Amtrak trains in a friendly and professional manner.
2. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking the train, including providing guidance and support to those with special needs.
3. Learn and adhere to all safety protocols and procedures in order to ensure the safety of passengers and crew.
4. Provide exceptional customer service by attending to passengers' needs and requests, addressing any concerns or complaints, and ensuring a positive overall experience.
5. Learn and master the skills required to perform various on-board services, such as serving food and beverages, selling tickets, and maintaining cleanliness of the train.
6. Work closely with other OBS crew members to ensure efficient and seamless operations on board the train.
7. Continuously learn and stay updated on Amtrak policies, procedures, and service standards.
8. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times while representing Amtrak.
9. Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
10. Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and responsibly.
11. Follow all rules and regulations set forth by Amtrak, including those related to attendance, punctuality, and conduct.
12. Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for passengers.
13. Keep the train clean and presentable at all times, including restocking supplies and disposing of waste properly.
14. Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
15. Assist in emergency situations, such as medical emergencies or train malfunctions, by following established protocols and providing support to passengers.
16. Uphold Amtrak's mission of connecting people and communities through safe and reliable transportation.
17. Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
