Motor Equipment Operator

Amtrak is looking for an experienced and reliable Motor Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate is an individual who takes great pride in their work and has a strong desire to provide the best customer service possible. The Motor Equipment Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a variety of motorized equipment including, but not limited to, passenger cars, freight and diesel engines, and other vehicles. To be successful in this role, the individual must possess a valid driver’s license and have experience in the operation of motorized equipment. Previous experience in the transportation industry is preferred. The individual must also have knowledge of railway operating principles, safety regulations, and track layouts. They must also possess excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
