Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic and service-oriented individual to join our team as a Lead Service Attendant at Amtrak.   1. Oversee and manage a team of service attendants, ensuring a high level of customer service is consistently provided to Amtrak passengers.
  2. Train and mentor new service attendants, ensuring they are knowledgeable and competent in their roles.
  3. Act as a point of contact for passengers, addressing any concerns or complaints and providing timely and effective solutions.
  4. Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the train, including restocking supplies and ensuring all areas are kept tidy.
  5. Collaborate with other departments, such as onboard food and beverage and maintenance, to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
  6. Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and in accordance with company policies.
  7. Communicate effectively with passengers and coworkers, providing information and assistance as needed.
  8. Demonstrate a strong understanding of Amtrak policies and procedures, and ensure they are followed by all service attendants.
  9. Conduct regular inspections of the train to ensure safety and compliance with company standards.
  10. Continuously identify opportunities for improvement in service delivery and recommend solutions to management.
  11. Maintain a positive and professional attitude, setting an example for the rest of the team.
  12. Adhere to all safety and security protocols, including emergency procedures, to ensure the well-being of passengers and crew.
  13. Ensure all equipment and supplies are properly maintained and stocked for a smooth operation.
  14. Assist with special projects and initiatives, as assigned by management.
  15. Uphold the Amtrak brand and represent the company in a positive manner at all times.
