- Oversee and manage a team of service attendants, ensuring a high level of customer service is consistently provided to Amtrak passengers.
- Train and mentor new service attendants, ensuring they are knowledgeable and competent in their roles.
- Act as a point of contact for passengers, addressing any concerns or complaints and providing timely and effective solutions.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the train, including restocking supplies and ensuring all areas are kept tidy.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as onboard food and beverage and maintenance, to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and in accordance with company policies.
- Communicate effectively with passengers and coworkers, providing information and assistance as needed.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of Amtrak policies and procedures, and ensure they are followed by all service attendants.
- Conduct regular inspections of the train to ensure safety and compliance with company standards.
- Continuously identify opportunities for improvement in service delivery and recommend solutions to management.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude, setting an example for the rest of the team.
- Adhere to all safety and security protocols, including emergency procedures, to ensure the well-being of passengers and crew.
