- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of all relevant regulatory standards and requirements.
- Oversee and manage the compliance program for Amtrak, including conducting regular audits and assessments.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on compliance matters and provide guidance and support to other team members.
- Collaborate with various departments within Amtrak to ensure all policies and procedures are in line with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and track compliance metrics and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Develop and implement training programs to ensure all employees are informed about compliance standards and their responsibilities.
- Stay up-to-date on any changes or updates to regulatory standards and ensure Amtrak is in compliance.
- Lead and coordinate internal and external audits and investigations related to compliance.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with regulatory agencies and represent Amtrak in compliance-related matters.
- Identify potential compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Work closely with legal counsel to address any compliance issues or concerns.
- Provide guidance and support to other compliance team members and oversee their work.
- Foster a culture of compliance within the organization through effective communication and training.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve and enhance the compliance program at Amtrak.
- Serve as a leader and role model for ethical and compliant behavior within the organization.
Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Business Administration, Law, Or Public Policy.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Compliance-Related Roles, Preferably In The Transportation Industry.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Federal Regulations And Compliance Standards Related To The Transportation Industry, Including But Not Limited To The Federal Railroad Administration And The Department Of Transportation.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Interpret Complex Regulations And Develop Effective Compliance Strategies.
Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Train And Oversee A Team Of Compliance Specialists And Effectively Communicate With Internal And External Stakeholders.
