  1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the rail network, ensuring all trains run efficiently and on schedule.
  2. Collaborate with the Superintendent of Road Operations to develop and implement strategies for improving the overall performance and safety of the rail network.
  3. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for operational changes.
  4. Lead and mentor a team of railroad employees, including conductors, engineers, and other staff, to ensure they are trained and equipped to perform their duties effectively.
  5. Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations, company policies, and safety protocols.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, such as customers, suppliers, and local authorities, to facilitate effective communication and cooperation.
  7. Oversee the maintenance and repair of trains and rail infrastructure to ensure their safe and efficient operation.
  8. Develop and manage budgets for the Road Operations department, including monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving measures.
  9. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations.
  10. Investigate and address customer complaints and issues related to road operations.
  11. Keep abreast of industry trends and developments, and make recommendations for process improvements and technological advancements.
  12. Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans to handle any disruptions or incidents on the rail network.
  13. Represent the company in meetings, conferences, and other events related to rail operations.
  14. Ensure all employees adhere to the company's code of conduct and maintain a positive work environment.
  15. Continuously strive for excellence and innovation in the operation of the rail network to enhance the overall customer experience.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Railway Operations, With At Least 2 Years In A Supervisory Role.

  • Knowledge Of Federal And State Regulations Governing Railway Operations And Safety.

  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage And Motivate A Team.

  • Experience With Budget Management, Project Planning And Execution, And Contract Negotiations.
