  1. Develop and implement strategic plans for the inflammation and rheumatology franchise, in alignment with overall company objectives.
  2. Lead and manage a team of professionals to drive the success of the franchise, including setting goals, providing guidance and support, and evaluating performance.
  3. Stay current on industry trends and developments in the field of rheumatology and inflammation, and use this knowledge to inform and guide business decisions.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including research and development, marketing, sales, and finance, to ensure successful execution of franchise strategies.
  5. Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and external partners in the field of rheumatology and inflammation, leveraging these connections to advance the company's objectives.
  6. Oversee the development and execution of marketing plans, including product positioning, pricing, and promotional strategies, to maximize the potential of the franchise.
  7. Monitor and analyze market and competitive data to identify opportunities and threats, and make recommendations for adjustments to franchise strategy as needed.
  8. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines, and oversee the timely submission of all required reports and documentation.
  9. Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership, communicating the progress and performance of the inflammation and rheumatology franchise.
  10. Continuously evaluate and improve internal processes and procedures related to the franchise, identifying areas for optimization and implementing changes as necessary.
  11. Represent the company at conferences, events, and other industry gatherings to showcase the franchise and build relationships with key stakeholders.
  12. Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration within the franchise team, encouraging new ideas and approaches to drive success.
  13. Mentor and develop team members, supporting their professional growth and providing opportunities for development and advancement.
  14. Adhere to company values and ethical standards at all times, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Medicine Or Life Sciences: A Vice President In Inflammation-Rheumatology At Amgen Should Have A Strong Foundation In Medicine Or Life Sciences, Such As A Medical Degree Or A Phd In A Related Field. This Will Provide The Necessary Knowledge And Understanding Of The Complex Mechanisms Of Inflammation And Rheumatology.

  • Extensive Experience In The Pharmaceutical Industry: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience In The Pharmaceutical Industry, With A Strong Background In Inflammation And Rheumatology. This Will Demonstrate A Deep Understanding Of The Industry And Its Challenges, As Well As The Ability To Lead And Make Strategic Decisions.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successful Drug Development: The Vice President Should Have A Track Record Of Successfully Leading And Managing Drug Development Projects In The Field Of Inflammation And Rheumatology. This Includes Experience In Clinical Trial Design, Regulatory Submissions, And Commercialization Of Products.

  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills: As A Vice President, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team And Collaborating With Various Departments Within Amgen. Therefore, Strong Leadership And Communication Skills Are Essential For Effectively Managing And Motivating A Team Towards Achieving Company Goals.
