Lead and drive the development and application of molecular analytics to support drug discovery and development efforts.
Utilize cutting-edge technology and innovative approaches to advance the mission of developing transformative medicines for patients worldwide.
Serve as a key member of the research and development organization, collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
Provide expert scientific guidance and direction to junior scientists and research associates in the implementation of molecular analytics techniques.
Design and execute experiments to evaluate and optimize molecular analytics methods for various drug targets and therapeutic areas.
Analyze and interpret complex data sets, including genomic, proteomic, and metabolomic data, to identify potential drug targets and biomarkers.
Develop and validate new assays and technologies to support drug discovery and development.
Stay current with industry trends and advancements in molecular analytics, and incorporate new techniques and technologies into project plans.
Collaborate with external partners and vendors to leverage their expertise and capabilities in molecular analytics.
Present research findings and progress updates to internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership.
Participate in scientific conferences and publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines related to molecular analytics and drug discovery.
Contribute to the development and implementation of the department's strategic goals and initiatives.
Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Act as a subject matter expert and represent the company in scientific discussions and collaborations with external partners and organizations.

Job Qualifications

Extensive Experience In Molecular Analytics: A Senior Principal Scientist At Amgen Must Have A Deep Understanding And Hands-On Experience In Molecular Analytics, Including Techniques Such As Sequencing, Protein Analysis, And Mass Spectrometry.
Strong Leadership Skills: The Position Requires Proven Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Manage And Mentor A Team Of Scientists And Guide Them Towards Successful Project Outcomes.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Drug Development: A Senior Principal Scientist Must Possess A Thorough Understanding Of The Drug Development Process, Including Regulatory Requirements, And Be Able To Apply Molecular Analytics To Support The Development Of New Therapeutics.
Advanced Degree In A Relevant Field: A Ph.d. In A Relevant Field Such As Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Or Chemistry Is Typically Required For This Position, Along With A Strong Publication Record And A Track Record Of Innovative Research.
Exceptional Problem-Solving Abilities: The Ideal Candidate Will Have A Demonstrated Ability To Apply Critical Thinking And Analytical Skills To Solve Complex Scientific Problems And Drive Scientific Innovation In Molecular Analytics.
