Serve as the primary scientific expert for the Bone Therapeutic Area products within the Pacific Northwest region.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals in the field of bone health and rare diseases.
Utilize scientific expertise to provide support and education to healthcare professionals, including delivering presentations, responding to inquiries, and providing scientific data.
Stay updated on the latest advancements and research in the field of bone health and rare diseases, and effectively communicate relevant information to internal teams and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including medical affairs, marketing, and sales, to develop and implement strategic plans for the Bone Therapeutic Area.
Represent Amgen at medical conferences, symposia, and other scientific events to enhance the company's presence and promote products.
Act as a liaison between Amgen and healthcare professionals, providing clinical and scientific insights to inform product development and commercialization strategies.
Identify and cultivate relationships with potential investigators for clinical trials, and assist with clinical trial enrollment and execution.
Provide input and support for the development and review of scientific publications and materials.
Maintain a high level of compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations, including adhering to ethical and legal standards.
Continuously monitor and analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and product performance to identify opportunities and challenges in the Bone Therapeutic Area.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and the Bone Therapeutic Area, and proactively contribute to the development and execution of long-term business strategies.

Job Qualifications

Advanced Degree In Science Or Medical Field: A Senior Medical Science Liaison In The Bone Therapeutic Area At Amgen Should Possess An Advanced Degree, Such As A Phd, Md, Or Pharmd, In A Relevant Scientific Or Medical Field.
Extensive Knowledge Of Bone Therapeutic Area: Candidates Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Bone Therapeutic Area, Including Knowledge Of Bone Biology, Pathophysiology, And Current Treatment Options. They Should Also Be Familiar With The Latest Research And Developments In The Field.
Demonstrated Experience In Medical Affairs: Amgen Is Seeking Candidates With At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Medical Affairs, With A Proven Track Record Of Success In A Similar Role. This Includes Experience In Developing And Delivering Medical Education Programs, As Well As Building And Maintaining Strong Relationships With Key Opinion Leaders.
Excellent Communication And Presentation Skills: As A Senior Medical Science Liaison, Strong Communication And Presentation Skills Are Essential. Candidates Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate Complex Scientific Information To A Variety Of Stakeholders, Including Healthcare Professionals, Researchers, And Internal Teams.
Regional Expertise: The Senior Medical Science Liaison Will Be Responsible For The Wa, Or, Mt, Id, And Ak Regions, So Candidates Should Have A Strong Knowledge Of These Areas And The Local Healthcare Landscape. Previous Experience Working In This Region Is Preferred.
