Oversee and manage the tax reporting function for Amgen's US operations.
Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize Amgen's tax position.
Analyze and interpret tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary data and information for tax reporting.
Manage relationships with external tax advisors and authorities.
Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals.
Continuously monitor and assess tax risks and identify areas for improvement.
Prepare and review tax filings, including federal and state income tax returns.
Communicate effectively with senior management and other stakeholders regarding tax strategies and issues.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact Amgen's tax position.
Implement and maintain tax reporting processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Provide support for tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate tax reporting in financial statements.
Identify opportunities for tax savings and recommend strategies for implementation.
Monitor and manage tax payments and ensure timely and accurate submission.
Keep abreast of industry best practices and proactively suggest improvements to the tax reporting function.
Act as a subject matter expert on tax matters, providing guidance and support to other departments as needed.
Contribute to the overall success of Amgen by actively participating in company initiatives and projects.

Extensive Knowledge Of Us Tax Laws And Regulations: A Senior Manager – Us Direct – Tax Reporting At Amgen Should Possess In-Depth Knowledge Of Us Tax Laws And Regulations, Including Federal, State, And Local Tax Codes. This Is Essential For Accurately Reporting And Complying With Tax Requirements.
Minimum Of 10 Years Of Relevant Experience: Amgen Requires A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Tax Reporting, Preferably In A Senior Management Role. This Level Of Experience Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Understanding Of Tax Reporting Procedures And Can Effectively Lead A Team.
