  1. Develop and implement payer contracting strategy to ensure access to innovative medicines for patients.
  2. Lead negotiations with payers to secure favorable reimbursement terms for Amgen products.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of payer contracting strategy with overall business objectives.
  4. Analyze market trends and payer policies to inform pricing and contracting decisions.
  5. Manage relationships with key payer stakeholders and represent Amgen in negotiations.
  6. Monitor and evaluate payer contracts and make recommendations for improvement.
  7. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape, including payer dynamics and evolving trends.
  8. Provide strategic guidance and support to regional and global teams on payer contracting matters.
  9. Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  10. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  11. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, to drive alignment and support for payer contracting initiatives.
  12. Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and incorporate them into payer contracting strategy.
  13. Identify and pursue opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in the contracting process.
  14. Represent Amgen at industry conferences and events to showcase our payer contracting capabilities.
  15. Continuously monitor and assess the competitive landscape to inform payer contracting decisions.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Healthcare Payer Contracting: The Ideal Candidate For A Senior Manager, Payer Contracting Position At Amgen Should Have At Least 7-10 Years Of Experience In Healthcare Payer Contracting, Preferably In A Pharmaceutical Or Biotechnology Company. They Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Payer Landscape, Including Medicare, Medicaid, And Commercial Payers, And Be Familiar With Various Reimbursement Models And Contract Negotiation Processes.

  • Strong Leadership And Management Skills: Amgen Is Looking For A Senior Manager Who Can Lead And Manage A Team Of Payer Contracting Professionals Effectively. The Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing Cross-Functional Teams, Setting And Achieving Goals, And Driving Results. They Should Also Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Collaborate With Internal And External Stakeholders.
