  1. Develop and implement a strategic communications plan to effectively communicate scientific research and discoveries to various audiences.
  2. Serve as a liaison between Amgen's scientific teams and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely dissemination of information.
  3. Translate complex scientific data into clear and compelling messages for non-scientific audiences.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and distribute scientific content, such as press releases, articles, and social media posts.
  5. Monitor and analyze media coverage and public perception of Amgen's scientific advancements.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with key media outlets and influencers to increase visibility and credibility of Amgen's scientific research.
  7. Identify and attend relevant conferences and events to promote Amgen's scientific work.
  8. Train and coach colleagues on effective communication strategies for scientific information.
  9. Stay up-to-date on industry and scientific trends to inform communication strategies.
  10. Act as a spokesperson for Amgen's scientific research and discoveries, representing the company in media interviews and public speaking engagements.
  11. Collaborate with regulatory and legal teams to ensure compliance with industry regulations and guidelines in all communication materials.
  12. Actively contribute to the development of messaging and positioning for Amgen's innovative therapies.
  13. Monitor and respond to inquiries and feedback from the public and stakeholders regarding Amgen's scientific research.
  14. Proactively identify and manage potential communication risks and issues related to scientific research.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve upon communication strategies and tactics to effectively reach and engage target audiences.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In A Scientific Field, Such As Biology, Chemistry, Or Pharmacology.

  • Strong Written And Verbal Communication Skills, With Experience In Scientific Writing And Presenting Complex Information To Various Audiences.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of The Pharmaceutical Industry, Including Drug Development And Regulatory Processes.

  • Demonstrated Experience In Managing And Coordinating Communication Projects, Including Working With Cross-Functional Teams And External Partners.

  • Proficiency In Relevant Software And Tools, Such As Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, And Content Management Systems.
