As the product owner, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize product features, develop roadmaps, and drive product development. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Amgen's SAP MDM system, including its capabilities and limitations.
Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for all SAP MDM initiatives and projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, data governance, and business stakeholders, to define and prioritize product features.
Develop and maintain product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and strategy.
Work closely with development teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of product features.
Conduct regular user research and gather feedback to continuously improve the MDM system and meet user needs.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all data within the MDM system through ongoing monitoring and maintenance.
Create and maintain documentation, including user guides and training materials, to support the effective use of the MDM system.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices in SAP MDM and data governance, and make recommendations for process improvements.
Act as an advocate for the MDM system, promoting its benefits and driving adoption across the organization.
Manage and communicate product updates and changes to stakeholders and end-users.
Collaborate with vendors and external partners to continuously improve the MDM system.
Proactively identify and address any issues or risks related to the MDM system.
Provide regular updates and reports on the status of the MDM system to senior management.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the product team.

Job Qualifications

Extensive Knowledge And Experience With Sap Mdm Software: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have In-Depth Knowledge And Experience With Sap Master Data Management Software. They Should Be Able To Demonstrate Their Ability To Effectively Utilize The Software To Manage And Maintain Master Data Across The Organization.
Strong Understanding Of Data Governance Principles: Amgen Is Looking For A Product Owner Who Has A Solid Understanding Of Data Governance Principles And Best Practices. They Should Be Able To Develop And Implement Data Governance Strategies That Align With The Company's Goals And Objectives.
Project Management Skills: As A Product Owner, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Managing And Prioritizing The Product Backlog, Defining User Stories, And Working Closely With Cross-Functional Teams. Therefore, Strong Project Management Skills Are A Must For This Role.
Excellent Communication And Stakeholder Management Skills: The Sap Mdm Product Owner Will Be Required To Interact With Various Stakeholders, Including Business Users, It Teams, And Senior Management. Therefore, Strong Communication And Stakeholder Management Skills Are Essential To Effectively Translate Business Requirements Into Technical Solutions.
Experience In The Life Sciences Industry: While Not A Mandatory Requirement, Experience In The Life Sciences Industry Would Be Highly Beneficial For This Role. It Will Give The Product Owner A Better Understanding Of The Company's Processes And Data Requirements, Enabling Them To Make More Informed Decisions And Drive Better Outcomes For The Organization.
