  1. Conduct statistical analyses to evaluate the safety and efficacy of Amgen's products.
  2. Develop and implement risk management strategies to ensure the safety and quality of Amgen's products.
  3. Lead a team of statisticians and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support safety evaluations.
  4. Provide statistical expertise and guidance to project teams and senior management.
  5. Review and interpret safety data, identifying potential safety concerns and developing risk mitigation plans.
  6. Stay current with industry regulations and guidelines related to safety and risk management.
  7. Contribute to the development and improvement of safety and risk assessment methodologies.
  8. Participate in safety-related meetings, presenting statistical analyses and providing recommendations.
  9. Communicate complex statistical concepts and results to non-technical audiences.
  10. Mentor and train junior statisticians on safety and risk management principles and best practices.
  11. Collaborate with external partners and regulatory agencies on safety and risk management-related matters.
  12. Continuously evaluate and improve processes and tools for statistical analysis and risk management.
  13. Uphold Amgen's commitment to patient safety and ethical standards in all activities.
  14. Represent Amgen in industry conferences and events related to safety and risk management.
  15. Contribute to the overall success and growth of Amgen through active participation in company initiatives and projects.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Statistics, Biostatistics, Or A Related Field

  • Minimum Of 7 Years Of Experience In A Statistical Role Within The Pharmaceutical Or Biotechnology Industry

  • Expertise In Statistical Programming Languages Such As Sas And R

  • Strong Understanding Of Regulatory Requirements And Guidelines For Safety Data Analysis And Reporting (E.g. Fda, Ema)

  • Proven Leadership Experience, Including Managing And Mentoring A Team Of Statisticians And Collaborating With Cross-Functional Teams In A Matrix Organization
