Lead and oversee the development and execution of research and development programs within Amgen.
Set clear and achievable goals and timelines for each program and ensure their successful delivery.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including scientists, engineers, and business professionals, to drive the progress of programs.
Manage and allocate resources effectively to support the needs of each program.
Monitor and track program progress, identify potential risks and issues, and develop mitigation plans.
Communicate program updates, progress, and results to key stakeholders and senior management.
Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the R&D team.
Stay informed of industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory requirements to inform program strategies.
Lead and participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes for the R&D department.
Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
Uphold ethical and compliance standards in all aspects of program management.
Contribute to the overall mission and goals of Amgen to transform the lives of patients through innovative biotechnology.

Job Qualifications

Advanced Degree In A Scientific Field (E.g. Phd In Biology, Chemistry, Or Related Field)
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Research And Development, Preferably In The Biotechnology Or Pharmaceutical Industry
Strong Project Management Skills, Including The Ability To Plan, Organize, And Direct Complex Scientific Projects
Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate Effectively With Cross-Functional Teams
In-Depth Understanding Of Drug Development Processes And Regulations, Including Fda And Ich Guidelines
