Develop and optimize mass spectrometry methods for the characterization and quantification of protein therapeutics.
Drive the advancement of process development capabilities within the field of mass spectrometry at Amgen.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and advance mass spectrometry programs.
Utilize technical expertise and analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mass spectrometry methods.
Evaluate and implement new technologies and methodologies to improve mass spectrometry processes.
Analyze and interpret complex data to support decision-making and problem-solving.
Communicate project updates, data, and results to stakeholders and senior management.
Provide leadership and mentorship to junior scientists within the team.
Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory guidelines.
Continuously monitor and assess industry trends and developments in mass spectrometry, and apply knowledge to improve processes and drive innovation.
Contribute to the development and execution of project plans and timelines.
Collaborate with external partners and vendors to support process development activities.
Contribute to the writing and review of scientific publications and regulatory documents.
Participate in scientific conferences and present on mass spectrometry research and developments.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation of all experiments and results.

Job Qualifications

Advanced Degree In Analytical Chemistry Or Related Field: A Process Development Senior Scientist- Mass Spectrometry Role At Amgen Requires A Strong Academic Background In Analytical Chemistry Or A Related Field, Such As Biochemistry Or Pharmaceutical Sciences. A Ph.d. Or Master's Degree Is Preferred.
Extensive Experience In Mass Spectrometry: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience Working With Mass Spectrometry Techniques, Including Lc-Ms, Gc-Ms, And Maldi-Tof. They Should Be Familiar With Various Mass Spectrometry Instruments And Have A Deep Understanding Of Data Analysis And Interpretation.
Knowledge Of Pharmaceutical Development Process: Amgen Is A Biotechnology Company Focused On Developing Innovative Medicines. A Process Development Senior Scientist- Mass Spectrometry Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Pharmaceutical Development Process, Including Drug Discovery, Formulation Development, And Manufacturing.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: This Role Requires The Ability To Design And Execute Experiments, Troubleshoot Instrument Issues, And Analyze Complex Data Sets.
