- Serve as a primary point of contact for patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers seeking information and support related to rare diseases and treatment options.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers to ensure their needs are met and addressed in a timely and compassionate manner.
- Provide exceptional support and guidance to patients and caregivers, including information on treatment options, access to resources, and assistance navigating the complex healthcare system.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the company to ensure patient needs are considered in decision-making processes.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on rare diseases and Amgen's products, staying up-to-date on the latest research and developments in the field.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase awareness and understanding of rare diseases and Amgen's role in serving the rare disease community.
- Advocate for patients with rare diseases, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are addressed within the company and in the healthcare industry.
- Communicate and collaborate with insurance providers, specialty pharmacies, and other stakeholders to ensure timely access to treatments for patients.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and adhere to all relevant regulations and compliance standards.
- Participate in relevant conferences, events, and meetings to stay informed and share knowledge with the rare disease community.
Knowledge Of Rare Diseases: A Patient Access Liaison At Amgen Should Possess A Strong Understanding Of Rare Diseases And Their Impact On Patients. This Includes Knowledge Of Disease Characteristics, Treatment Options, And Patient Support Resources.
Experience In Healthcare Industry: A Successful Candidate For This Role Should Have Prior Experience In The Healthcare Industry, Preferably In The Rare Disease Space. This Could Include Experience In Patient Advocacy, Pharmaceutical Sales, Or Healthcare Administration.
