  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients with rare diseases, providing them with timely and accurate information regarding access to treatments and therapies
  • Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient patient access
  • Educate patients and their caregivers on the process of obtaining treatment, including insurance coverage, financial assistance programs, and any necessary documentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and medical affairs, to develop and implement strategies for improving patient access and support
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in healthcare policies and regulations that may impact patient access to treatments, and proactively communicate updates to relevant stakeholders
  • Collect and analyze data on patient access and reimbursement trends, and use insights to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise during the access process
  • Document all interactions with patients and stakeholders in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to company and regulatory guidelines
  • Represent the company at conferences, meetings, and other events related to rare diseases and patient access, as needed
  • Continuously strive to improve processes and workflows to enhance the overall patient experience and outcomes.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Or Nursing.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Patient Access, Reimbursement, Or Patient Support Services Within The Pharmaceutical Or Biotech Industry.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Rare Diseases And The Unique Challenges Faced By Patients And Healthcare Providers In Accessing Treatment And Navigating The Healthcare System.

  • Experience Working With Specialty Pharmacies, Insurance Companies, And Other Stakeholders Involved In The Reimbursement Process.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Educate And Advocate For Patients While Maintaining Compliance With Industry Regulations And Company Policies.
