
Patient Access Liaison - Rare Disease

- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients with rare diseases, providing them with timely and accurate information regarding access to treatments and therapies
- Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient patient access
- Educate patients and their caregivers on the process of obtaining treatment, including insurance coverage, financial assistance programs, and any necessary documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and medical affairs, to develop and implement strategies for improving patient access and support
- Stay up-to-date on changes in healthcare policies and regulations that may impact patient access to treatments, and proactively communicate updates to relevant stakeholders
- Collect and analyze data on patient access and reimbursement trends, and use insights to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise during the access process
- Document all interactions with patients and stakeholders in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to company and regulatory guidelines
- Represent the company at conferences, meetings, and other events related to rare diseases and patient access, as needed
- Continuously strive to improve processes and workflows to enhance the overall patient experience and outcomes.
Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Or Nursing.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Patient Access, Reimbursement, Or Patient Support Services Within The Pharmaceutical Or Biotech Industry.
Extensive Knowledge Of Rare Diseases And The Unique Challenges Faced By Patients And Healthcare Providers In Accessing Treatment And Navigating The Healthcare System.
Experience Working With Specialty Pharmacies, Insurance Companies, And Other Stakeholders Involved In The Reimbursement Process.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Educate And Advocate For Patients While Maintaining Compliance With Industry Regulations And Company Policies.
