Amgen, a leading biotechnology company, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Medical Director to serve as the Global Asset Lead for our Obesity and Cardio-Metabolism portfolio in the US.   1. Develop and implement global medical strategies for the Obesity and Cardio-Metabolism portfolio in alignment with company goals and objectives.
  2. Serve as the primary medical expert for the US market, providing leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams.
  3. Lead the development and execution of clinical trial programs, including protocol development, study design, and data analysis.
  4. Collaborate with key stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, key opinion leaders, and commercial teams, to ensure successful development and commercialization of treatments.
  5. Provide medical oversight and support for all medical affairs activities, including scientific communications, medical education, and medical information.
  6. Stay up-to-date on market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging scientific data to inform medical strategies and decisions.
  7. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the global asset team.
  8. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
  9. Represent the company as a medical expert at external conferences, advisory boards, and other scientific events.
  10. Mentor and develop team members to build a high-performing and engaged team.
  11. Continuously assess and communicate risks and opportunities related to the portfolio to senior leadership.
  12. Participate in budget planning and resource allocation for the global asset team.
  13. Act as a brand ambassador and maintain a positive reputation for the company and its products.
  14. Uphold and promote the company's values and ethical standards in all interactions.
  15. Travel as needed to attend meetings, conferences, and other events related to the portfolio.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree (Md) Or Equivalent, With Specialized Training Or Experience In Obesity And Cardio-Metabolism.

  • Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In The Pharmaceutical Industry, With A Focus On Global Asset Leadership And Drug Development In The Obesity And Cardio-Metabolism Therapeutic Area.

  • Strong Understanding Of Us Healthcare System And Regulations, Including Fda Guidelines And Requirements For Drug Development And Approval In The Obesity And Cardio-Metabolism Space.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successful Project Management And Leadership Of Cross-Functional Teams In Global Clinical Trials.

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Interact With Key Stakeholders, Including Regulatory Agencies, External Partners, And Internal Colleagues At All Levels Of The Organization.
