Job Description

  1. Conduct health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) studies to support the development and commercialization of Amgen products.
  2. Lead the development and execution of HEOR strategies across different therapeutic areas and product portfolios.
  3. Manage a team of HEOR professionals, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure high-quality deliverables and timely completion of projects.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical development, marketing, and market access, to integrate HEOR findings into product development and commercialization plans.
  5. Stay updated on current healthcare policies, regulations, and trends to inform HEOR strategies and ensure compliance with relevant guidelines.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders, including healthcare providers, payers, and regulatory bodies, to understand their needs and incorporate their perspectives into HEOR studies.
  7. Present HEOR findings to internal and external audiences, including senior management, key opinion leaders, and scientific conferences.
  8. Utilize advanced statistical and modeling techniques to analyze and interpret HEOR data and communicate the results in a clear and concise manner.
  9. Proactively identify opportunities for HEOR research and develop innovative methodologies to address research gaps.
  10. Lead the preparation and submission of HEOR data to support market access and reimbursement dossiers.
  11. Mentor and train team members on HEOR methodologies, data analysis, and presentation skills.
  12. Collaborate with other HEOR colleagues across Amgen's global locations to share best practices and promote standardization and consistency in HEOR research.
  13. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all activities.
  14. Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental strategies and goals.
  15. Maintain a high level of scientific and technical expertise in HEOR and continuously seek opportunities for professional development.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Health Economics, Outcomes Research, Or A Related Field, Such As Economics, Statistics, Or Epidemiology.

  • Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In The Pharmaceutical Or Biotechnology Industry, With A Focus On Health Economics And Outcomes Research.

  • Demonstrated Experience In Designing And Implementing Real-World Evidence Studies, Including Observational Studies, Patient Reported Outcomes Research, And Economic Modeling.

  • Strong Understanding Of Health Care Policy, Reimbursement, And Regulatory Environments, With The Ability To Develop Strategies And Communicate Findings To Internal And External Stakeholders.

  • Proven Leadership And Management Skills, With The Ability To Lead Cross-Functional Teams And Collaborate With Various Departments, Such As Marketing, Medical Affairs, And Market Access.
