Conduct health economics and outcomes research studies to generate evidence on the value and impact of Amgen's products on patient outcomes.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize the value of Amgen's products in global markets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including market access, medical affairs, and commercial teams, to provide insights and recommendations for product positioning and pricing.
Utilize data from clinical trials, real-world data, and other sources to inform decision making and support product value propositions.
Stay current on healthcare policies and regulations in global markets to ensure compliance and optimize market access opportunities.
Communicate complex health economic and outcomes research findings and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, healthcare providers, payers, and patients.
Lead the development and submission of health economic evidence for reimbursement and formulary inclusion in key markets.
Conduct health economic training for internal and external stakeholders to increase understanding and utilization of health economic data.
Identify and address gaps in data and evidence to support product value propositions and inform future research opportunities.
Act as a thought leader in the field of health economics and outcomes research, representing Amgen at conferences and other industry events.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members on health economics and outcomes research methodologies and best practices.
Collaborate with external partners and vendors to support research activities and ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
Continuously assess and improve Amgen's health economics and outcomes research capabilities and processes.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards, and maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.

Job Qualifications

Advanced Degree In Health Economics Or A Related Field: A Successful Candidate For This Position Should Hold An Advanced Degree (Phd Or Master's) In Health Economics, Public Health, Or A Related Field. This Will Demonstrate A Strong Understanding Of The Principles Of Health Economics And Outcomes Research, As Well As The Ability To Apply These Concepts In A Global Context.
Extensive Experience In The Pharmaceutical Industry: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In The Pharmaceutical Industry, With A Focus On Health Economics And Outcomes Research. This Experience Should Include Working On Global Projects And Collaborating With Cross-Functional Teams.
Strong Analytical And Quantitative Skills: The Senior Manager Will Be Responsible For Conducting Complex Analyses And Interpreting Data To Inform Strategic Decisions. Therefore, The Candidate Should Have Strong Analytical And Quantitative Skills, With Proficiency In Statistical Software Such As Sas, R, Or Stata.
Knowledge Of Global Healthcare Systems And Policies: Amgen Operates In Multiple Countries With Varying Healthcare Systems And Policies. Therefore, The Senior Manager Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Global Healthcare Systems And Policies, Including Pricing And Reimbursement Mechanisms.
Excellent Communication And Leadership Abilities: The Successful Candidate Should Have Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Concepts To Both Technical And Non-Technical Audiences. Additionally, The Senior Manager Will Lead A Team And Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams, So Strong Leadership And Team Management Skills Are Essential.
