Lead and oversee the development of global product portfolio, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
Provide strategic direction and vision for the Global Development team.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement clinical development plans.
Stay updated on current scientific and medical advancements in the biotechnology industry and apply knowledge to guide development strategies.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of scientific excellence and innovation.
Participate in the recruitment and selection of top talent for the Global Development team.
Maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, key opinion leaders, and internal executives.
Oversee budget and resource allocation to ensure efficient use of company resources.
Present updates on development plans and progress to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Serve as a brand ambassador for Amgen, promoting the company's values and mission.
Represent the company at conferences, meetings, and other events to stay current with industry trends and developments.
Continuously assess and improve development processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Maintain a strong understanding of market trends and competition to inform development strategies.
Act as a liaison between the Global Development team and other departments within the company.

Job Qualifications

Advanced Medical Degree: The Executive Medical Director Of Global Development At Amgen Should Possess An Advanced Medical Degree, Such As A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do), To Demonstrate A Strong Foundation In Medical Knowledge And Clinical Expertise.
Extensive Experience In Drug Development: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Drug Development, Including Experience In Global Clinical Trials And Regulatory Submissions. This Experience Should Be Within The Pharmaceutical Or Biotechnology Industry.
Leadership And Management Skills: As A Senior Leadership Position, The Executive Medical Director Of Global Development Should Have Strong Leadership And Management Skills To Oversee A Team Of Medical Professionals And Guide Them In The Development Of Global Clinical Programs.
Global Regulatory Knowledge: Amgen Operates In Multiple Countries, And The Executive Medical Director Of Global Development Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Global Regulatory Requirements And Guidelines To Ensure The Successful Development And Registration Of New Drugs.
Strategic Thinking And Business Acumen: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess Strong Strategic Thinking Skills And Business Acumen To Ensure The Success Of Amgen's Global Development Programs.
