- Develop and implement the strategic direction for Amgen's portfolio in the Cardiovascular and General Medicines therapeutic areas.
- Lead cross-functional teams in the identification and evaluation of new opportunities and potential partnerships.
- Monitor and analyze industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics to inform strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment and integration of disease area strategies with overall company goals.
- Drive the development and execution of disease area-specific launch plans, including market access strategies and commercialization efforts.
- Work closely with research and development teams to prioritize and advance the development of innovative medicines for patients.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and external partners to stay informed on the latest advancements and insights in the Cardiovascular and General Medicines space.
- Communicate disease area strategy and progress to senior leadership and other key stakeholders.
- Lead and mentor a team of professionals to achieve the goals and objectives of the Cardiovascular and General Medicines disease area.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Continuously assess and improve disease area strategies to maximize long-term value and impact on patient health.
- Represent Amgen in external conferences, meetings, and events related to the Cardiovascular and General Medicines space.
Extensive Experience In Cardiovascular/General Medicines: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience In The Pharmaceutical Industry, With A Focus On Cardiovascular/General Medicines. This Experience Should Include A Deep Understanding Of Disease Areas, Drug Development, And Commercialization Strategies.
Strong Leadership Skills: As The Executive Director And Disease Area Strategy Lead, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team And Driving The Overall Strategy For The Disease Area.
