  1. Develop and implement biomarker and diagnostic strategies for clinical trials in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  2. Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of biomarker and diagnostic operations for clinical trials.
  3. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines related to biomarker and diagnostic operations.
  4. Lead the development and validation of novel biomarker assays, including the identification and management of external vendors and partners.
  5. Serve as the primary point of contact for all biomarker and diagnostic-related issues during clinical trial execution.
  6. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and address potential challenges and ensure timely delivery of biomarker and diagnostic data.
  7. Manage project timelines and budgets for biomarker and diagnostic operations, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks.
  8. Provide regular updates to senior management on the progress of biomarker and diagnostic operations and any potential issues or risks.
  9. Mentor and train team members on biomarker and diagnostic operations processes and best practices.
  10. Continuously evaluate and improve biomarker and diagnostic operations processes to increase efficiency and quality.
  11. Act as a subject matter expert on biomarker and diagnostic operations and provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams.
  12. Participate in the selection and management of external vendors and partners for biomarker and diagnostic operations.
  13. Collaborate with data management and biostatistics teams to ensure accurate and timely analysis and reporting of biomarker and diagnostic data.
  14. Represent Amgen at external meetings and conferences related to biomarker and diagnostic operations.
  15. Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental and company-wide policies and procedures related to biomarker and diagnostic operations.

  • Project Management Skills: As The Operations Lead, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Overseeing The Planning, Execution, And Monitoring Of Clinical Biomarker And Diagnostic Projects. Thus, They Should Have Excellent Project Management Skills, Including The Ability To Set Timelines, Manage Resources, And Identify And Mitigate Potential Risks.

  • Experience With Cross-Functional Collaboration: The Clinical Biomarker And Diagnostics Operations Lead Will Be Working Closely With Various Teams, Including Research, Clinical Development, And Regulatory Affairs. Therefore, They Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Effectively Collaborating With Cross-Functional Teams To Achieve Project Goals.

  • Strong Communication And Leadership Abilities: As A Leader, The Operations Lead Should Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Convey Complex Scientific Information To Both Technical And Non-Technical Stakeholders. Additionally, They Should Be Able To Motivate And Guide Team Members Towards Achieving Project Objectives.

  • Advanced Degree In Life Sciences Or Related Field: A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In A Life Science Field Is Typically Required For This Role. Candidates With A Phd Or Md May Be Preferred, As They Would Have A More Extensive Understanding Of The Scientific Principles Behind Biomarker And Diagnostic Development.
