Identity and Access Management (IAM) Director

Ameris Bancorp is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Identity and Access Management (IAM) Director to join our team. The IAM Director will be responsible for overseeing the security of our company's access and identity management systems and for developing policies and procedures that ensure our systems remain secure. This position will be a key member of the Information Security team and requires an individual with a combination of technical and managerial experience.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in an IAM-related role, including experience with identity and access management solutions, security systems, IT security processes and governance, and regulatory compliance. Additionally, the candidate should possess an in-depth understanding of Access Management, Identity Governance, and Privileged Access Management, as well as a comprehensive knowledge of security best practices. The successful applicant must have strong communication skills and be able to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain security policies and procedures to ensure the security of our company’s access and identity management systems.
2. Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable security regulations, standards, and best practices.
3. Work collaboratively with the Information Security team to ensure that security controls are implemented and maintained.
4. Maintain knowledge and understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) related technologies, including Access Management, Identity Governance, and Privileged Access Management solutions.
5. Analyze and report on security incidents and threats.
6. Train and mentor other team members on IAM-related topics.
7. Develop and maintain relationships with customers, partners, and vendors to ensure security of all systems.
8. Manage security projects to ensure successful completion, within budget and on schedule.
9. Perform risk assessments and make recommendations for improvements in security posture.
10. Provide technical oversight to ensure the security of all systems.
