Cyber Security Engineer
Ameris Bancorp is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Cyber Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cybersecurity and a strong technical background. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining security measures to protect the bank’s data, systems, and networks.The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in the cybersecurity field. In addition to a strong understanding of security protocols, standards, and best practices, you must also possess excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies. You will have a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.If you are a security enthusiast with a passion for protecting data and networks, we would love to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement security measures to protect the bank’s data, systems, and networks.
- Monitor security systems for any suspicious activity and respond accordingly.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies.
- Research and assess new security products or technologies to ensure compatibility with existing systems.
- Prepare detailed reports on security events and provide recommendations to management.
- Assist with compliance audits and other related activities.
- Train and educate staff on security best practices.
- Respond to security-related incidents and investigate potential breaches.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for security systems.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other teams in the organization.
