Job Description

American University is looking for a Desktop Support Analyst to join our team! As an integral part of the Information Technology Department, this individual will provide technical support and assist the university’s staff and students with computer hardware and software related issues. We are seeking an individual who is organized, detail-oriented, and customer service focused. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and be able to work both independently and collaboratively. Required Qualifications:• Associate’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, or equivalent experience• Two (2) or more years of experience in desktop support, help desk support, or related field• Computer hardware and software installation and troubleshooting experience• Excellent customer service skills• Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Ability to work independently and collaboratively• Knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems
