Cyber Security Engineer

Our American University team is seeking a highly motivated, innovative Cyber Security Engineer to join our IT department. In this role, the successful candidate will work closely with our IT team to continuously monitor and assess our systems for areas of improvement to ensure the security of our confidential data. To be successful in this role, you will need to have an in-depth understanding of cyber security processes and be able to apply that knowledge to our organizational environment.We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, with the ability to identify and solve problems quickly and efficiently. Our ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and have a passion for cyber security.To be considered for this role, you must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or have equivalent work experience. Knowledge of network security, system security, and security protocols is essential. Additionally, you must have experience with system and network monitoring software, firewall configuration, and intrusion detection systems.
