- Assess and evaluate risks associated with construction projects to determine appropriate insurance coverage and pricing.
- Utilize underwriting guidelines and company policies to make informed decisions on risk acceptance and mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather necessary information and data for risk assessment.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to stay updated on industry trends and regulations related to construction risks.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and brokers to provide exceptional customer service and ensure retention of business.
- Prepare and present comprehensive underwriting reports and recommendations to senior management.
- Work closely with claims teams to provide support in the event of a claim related to a construction project.
- Conduct periodic reviews and audits of existing policies to identify potential risks and recommend appropriate actions.
- Train and mentor junior underwriters on underwriting best practices and company guidelines.
- Stay updated on market developments and competitor strategies to identify potential business opportunities.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In The Construction Industry, Preferably In A Senior Underwriting Role.
Strong Understanding Of Construction Risk And The Ability To Analyze Complex Construction Projects.
Knowledge Of Insurance Policies And Coverage Options Related To Construction Risks.
Excellent Communication Skills And The Ability To Effectively Negotiate With Clients And Stakeholders.
Proven Track Record Of Meeting And Exceeding Underwriting Goals And Targets.
