We are currently seeking an experienced Underwriting Specialist to join our Excess Casualty team, specifically focusing on Corporate Accounts. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on large and complex accounts, utilizing your expertise in underwriting and risk assessment.   1. Analyze and evaluate complex insurance risks for large corporate accounts in the Excess Casualty market.
  2. Collaborate with other team members and departments to develop and implement underwriting strategies and guidelines.
  3. Conduct thorough risk assessments and determine appropriate coverage and pricing for potential clients.
  4. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders in order to understand their needs and provide exceptional customer service.
  5. Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to make informed underwriting decisions.
  6. Utilize underwriting tools and systems to accurately assess risk and maintain accurate records.
  7. Collaborate with claims and legal teams to resolve issues and ensure client satisfaction.
  8. Work closely with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  9. Support product development and innovation initiatives to enhance the company's competitiveness in the market.
  10. Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of existing accounts and make adjustments as needed.
  11. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior underwriters to foster their professional growth.
  12. Adhere to all compliance and regulatory requirements.
  13. Represent AIG in a professional and positive manner at industry events and conferences.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business, Finance, Or A Related Field

  • Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills, With The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Clients And Brokers.

  • At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In Underwriting Excess Casualty Insurance For Corporate Accounts
