  1. Conduct thorough credit analysis for commercial clients to assess their creditworthiness and potential risk.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand their business and credit needs.
  3. Evaluate credit applications and financial statements to determine appropriate coverage and terms.
  4. Make underwriting decisions based on company guidelines and risk appetite.
  5. Monitor and review existing credit portfolios to identify potential risks and take necessary actions.
  6. Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and claims, to ensure efficient and effective client management.
  7. Communicate credit decisions and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.
  8. Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to adjust underwriting strategies accordingly.
  9. Maintain accurate and organized documentation of all underwriting activities.
  10. Assist in developing and implementing company underwriting policies and procedures.
  11. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance underwriting skills and knowledge.
  12. Provide excellent customer service to clients by responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Underwriting Principles And Practices: A Qualified Underwriter, Trade Credit Should Possess A Thorough Understanding Of Underwriting Principles And Practices, Including Risk Assessment, Credit Analysis, And Financial Statement Analysis.

  • Strong Analytical Skills: Being Able To Interpret And Analyze Complex Financial Data Is Essential For An Underwriter, Trade Credit. This Includes The Ability To Identify Potential Risks And Make Sound Decisions Based On This Information.

  • Experience In Trade Credit Insurance: Previous Experience In Trade Credit Insurance Is Highly Desired For This Role. This Includes A Solid Understanding Of Trade Credit Products, Policies, And Procedures.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: As An Underwriter, Trade Credit, You Will Be Interacting With Various Stakeholders, Including Clients, Brokers, And Other Internal Teams. Strong Written And Verbal Communication Skills Are Crucial For Effectively Conveying Information And Building Relationships.
