  1. Assess risk: The Underwriter will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating risks associated with potential clients in the specialty lines market.
  2. Determine appropriate coverage: Using their expertise and knowledge of the insurance industry, the Underwriter will determine the appropriate coverage and insurance policies for clients.
  3. Collaborate with team: The Underwriter will work closely with other members of the Specialty Lines team to ensure accurate and comprehensive risk assessment and coverage determination.
  4. Conduct research: This role requires conducting research on industry trends, market conditions, and other factors that may impact risk assessment and coverage determination.
  5. Maintain accurate records: The Underwriter will be responsible for maintaining accurate and organized records of all clients and their policies.
  6. Communicate with clients: The Underwriter will be responsible for communicating with clients to gather necessary information, explain coverage options, and answer any questions or concerns.
  7. Stay updated on industry changes: The Underwriter must stay informed about changes and developments in the insurance industry, particularly within the specialty lines market.
  8. Adhere to regulations: This role requires strict adherence to all industry regulations and company policies.
  9. Analyze data: The Underwriter will analyze data and use their analytical skills to make informed decisions about risk and coverage.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Finance, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Underwriting Specialty Lines, Such As Cyber Liability, Professional Liability, Or Marine Insurance.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Insurance Industry Regulations And Compliance Standards.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Assess Risk And Make Sound Underwriting Decisions.

  • Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills, With The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Clients And Brokers.
