  1. Analyze and evaluate risks to determine appropriate insurance coverage for clients.
  2. Utilize knowledge of insurance policies, regulations, and underwriting guidelines to make informed decisions.
  3. Collaborate with agents and brokers to understand client needs and provide tailored solutions.
  4. Conduct thorough research and analysis of industry trends, market conditions, and client data to accurately assess risk.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with clients and provide exceptional customer service.
  6. Review and assess underwriting submissions, including applications, financial statements, and other relevant documents.
  7. Communicate effectively with internal teams, including claims and actuarial, to gather necessary information and ensure accurate risk assessment.
  8. Remain up-to-date on industry developments and changes in regulations and policies.
  9. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance underwriting skills and knowledge.
  10. Adhere to company underwriting standards and guidelines to ensure consistent and quality underwriting practices.
  11. Utilize underwriting software and tools to streamline processes and increase efficiency.
  12. Identify and report potential fraudulent activities or suspicious claims.
  13. Maintain accurate and organized records of underwriting decisions and documentation.
  14. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and promote a positive team dynamic.
  15. Represent AIG in a professional and ethical manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Risk Management, Finance, Or A Related Field

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Underwriting Specialty Lines, Such As Cyber Liability Or Professional Liability

  • Strong Analytical And Decision-Making Skills With The Ability To Evaluate Complex Risks

  • Knowledge Of Industry Regulations And Compliance Standards

  • Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills To Build And Maintain Relationships With Clients And Brokers.
