- Review and assess underwriting submissions, including applications, financial statements, and other relevant documents.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, including claims and actuarial, to gather necessary information and ensure accurate risk assessment.
- Remain up-to-date on industry developments and changes in regulations and policies.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance underwriting skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to company underwriting standards and guidelines to ensure consistent and quality underwriting practices.
- Utilize underwriting software and tools to streamline processes and increase efficiency.
- Identify and report potential fraudulent activities or suspicious claims.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of underwriting decisions and documentation.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and promote a positive team dynamic.
- Represent AIG in a professional and ethical manner at all times.
Bachelor's Degree In Risk Management, Finance, Or A Related Field
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Underwriting Specialty Lines, Such As Cyber Liability Or Professional Liability
Strong Analytical And Decision-Making Skills With The Ability To Evaluate Complex Risks
Knowledge Of Industry Regulations And Compliance Standards
Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills To Build And Maintain Relationships With Clients And Brokers.
