In-Depth Knowledge Of International Marine Cargo Insurance Policies And Procedures: A Successful Underwriter In This Role Should Possess A Thorough Understanding Of The Intricacies Of International Marine Cargo Insurance, Including Coverages, Exclusions, And Risk Assessment.
Strong Analytical And Decision-Making Skills: Underwriters Must Be Able To Analyze Complex Information And Make Accurate Decisions Regarding Risk Acceptance, Pricing, And Terms And Conditions.
Familiarity With Industry Regulations And Compliance Standards: Underwriters Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Industry Regulations, Compliance Standards, And Best Practices To Ensure That Policies Are Underwritten In Accordance With Applicable Laws And Guidelines.
Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills: As An Underwriter, The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Clients, Brokers, And Other Stakeholders Is Essential. Strong Negotiation Skills Are Also Important In Securing Favorable Terms And Conditions For The Company.
Prior Experience In Marine Insurance Underwriting: A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Marine Insurance Underwriting Is Typically Required For This Role. Previous Experience In Underwriting International Marine Cargo Policies Is Highly Preferred.
