  4. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in regulations to effectively evaluate and manage risks.

  7. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness within the underwriting team.
  8. Monitor and manage underwriting portfolio to ensure profitability and adherence to company standards.
  9. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and brokers to drive business growth.
  10. Actively participate in training and development opportunities to enhance underwriting skills and knowledge.
  11. Adhere to all compliance and regulatory requirements.
  12. Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills to effectively resolve complex underwriting issues.
  13. Collaborate with other departments, such as claims and risk management, to provide comprehensive solutions for clients.
  14. Represent AIG in a professional and positive manner at all times.
  15. Continuously strive for excellence and contribute to the overall success of the underwriting team.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Risk Management, Finance, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Commercial Underwriting, Preferably In The Middle Market Casualty Space.

  • Strong Analytical And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Make Sound Decisions Based On Complex Data And Information.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Negotiate And Build Relationships With Clients And Colleagues.

  • Strong Understanding Of Insurance Industry Regulations And Compliance Requirements, With A Focus On Risk Assessment And Mitigation Strategies.
