  1. Conduct thorough risk assessments and analysis of ocean cargo policies.
  2. Utilize analytical skills to evaluate potential risks and determine appropriate coverage.
  3. Review and underwrite insurance applications for ocean cargo policies.
  4. Collaborate with other underwriters and team members to ensure accuracy and consistency in risk assessment.
  5. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments related to ocean cargo insurance.
  6. Maintain and update underwriting guidelines and procedures.
  7. Communicate with brokers and clients to gather necessary information and explain underwriting decisions.
  8. Make recommendations for risk mitigation and loss prevention measures.
  9. Monitor and review current policies to identify any potential risks or changes in coverage needs.
  10. Provide excellent customer service to clients and address any inquiries or concerns.
  11. Adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements.
  12. Contribute to the growth and profitability of the Ocean Cargo division by identifying potential business opportunities.
  13. Participate in training and development opportunities to continuously improve underwriting skills.
  14. Collaborate with other departments, such as claims and finance, to ensure effective and efficient operations.
  15. Represent AIG in a professional and ethical manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business, Finance, Or A Related Field.

  • Excellent Analytical And Risk Assessment Skills.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Underwriting Ocean Cargo Insurance.
