- Develop and implement strategic plans for the primary auto and general liability claims department in alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Set performance targets and monitor the progress of the claims team to ensure timely and accurate handling of claims, while also maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Provide leadership and direction to the claims team, including hiring, training, and mentoring employees to foster a high-performing and collaborative work environment.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of efficient claims handling processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Review and analyze claims data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement, and implement strategies to mitigate risks and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as underwriting and risk management, to develop and implement strategies for reducing the frequency and severity of claims.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of claim activity and financial performance to senior management and other stakeholders.
