- Conduct thorough and timely investigations of workers compensation claims to determine coverage, liability, and damages.
- Utilize extensive knowledge of workers compensation laws and regulations to accurately evaluate claims and make fair and appropriate decisions.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with policyholders, injured workers, attorneys, and other stakeholders to provide updates on claim status and address any questions or concerns.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including underwriters and risk management, to identify and implement strategies for reducing and preventing future workers compensation claims.
- Maintain accurate and organized claim files and documentation, adhering to company and industry standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by promptly responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
- Analyze claim trends and provide recommendations for process improvements and cost-saving measures.
- Stay up-to-date on industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices related to workers compensation claims handling.
- Mentor and train junior claims examiners on best practices and company policies.
- Represent AIG in a professional and ethical manner at all times, upholding the company's values and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Workers Compensation Claims Handling, Preferably With A Focus On Complex Or High-Value Claims.
Knowledge Of State Workers Compensation Laws And Regulations, Including Experience With Multi-State Claims.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Make Sound Decisions And Negotiate Settlements.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Interact With Internal And External Stakeholders.
Prior Experience In A Senior Or Leadership Role, With The Ability To Mentor And Train Junior Claims Examiners.
