- Provide day-to-day support to the underwriting team, including but not limited to handling policy and endorsement processing, coverage analysis, and data entry.
- Conduct thorough and accurate risk assessments and analysis to assist the underwriting team in evaluating potential risks.
- Collaborate with underwriters to gather and analyze information, and identify and communicate any discrepancies or issues.
- Review policy documents and endorsements for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and regulations.
- Maintain and update underwriting files and databases, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
- Communicate with brokers, agents, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and resolve any inquiries or issues.
- Assist with the development and implementation of underwriting strategies and processes.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices, and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance knowledge and skills related to underwriting and risk management.
- Uphold and promote company policies and values, ensuring ethical and professional conduct at all times.
Extensive Underwriting Experience: The Ideal Candidate For A Senior Underwriter Support Specialist Position At American International Group Should Possess A Minimum Of 5-7 Years Of Experience In Underwriting, Preferably In The Insurance Industry. This Experience Should Include A Thorough Understanding Of Underwriting Principles, Risk Assessment, And Policy Analysis.
Strong Analytical Skills: The Senior Underwriter Support Specialist Will Be Responsible For Analyzing Complex Data, Identifying Trends And Patterns, And Making Informed Decisions Based On Their Findings.
