Job Description

At American International Group, we are seeking a highly experienced Senior Underwriter to join our Aerospace team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to utilize your extensive knowledge and expertise in underwriting to assess and evaluate risks and make informed decisions to protect our clients in the aerospace industry.   1. Conduct thorough risk assessments: As a Senior Underwriter, you will be responsible for conducting detailed evaluations of risks associated with clients in the aerospace industry.   5. Stay updated on industry trends: The aerospace industry is constantly evolving, and it is essential to stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and emerging risks. As a Senior Underwriter, you will be responsible for keeping up-to-date with industry developments and implementing necessary changes in underwriting strategies.
  6. Provide guidance and support: You will use your expertise and knowledge to provide guidance and support to junior underwriters and other team members. This may include training, mentoring, and assisting with complex underwriting cases.
  7. Conduct market research: In addition to staying updated on industry trends, you will also be responsible for conducting market research to identify potential new clients and areas for growth within the aerospace industry.
  8. Ensure compliance: It is your responsibility to ensure that all underwriting activities are compliant with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements. This may include conducting audits and implementing necessary changes to maintain compliance.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In The Aerospace Industry: A Senior Underwriter For Aerospace At Aig Should Have A Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In Underwriting Aerospace Risks. This Includes A Deep Understanding Of Insurance Policies And Regulations, As Well As Knowledge Of Industry Trends And Developments.

  • Strong Analytical And Risk Assessment Skills: As A Senior Underwriter, The Ability To Assess And Analyze Complex Risks Is Crucial. Candidates Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Accurately Evaluating Risk And Making Sound Underwriting Decisions.

  • Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills: The Role Of A Senior Underwriter Requires Frequent Communication With Clients, Brokers, And Other Internal Teams. Therefore, Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills, As Well As The Ability To Negotiate Effectively, Are Essential Qualifications.
