  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  3. Lead a team of underwriters to deliver high-quality underwriting services to clients.
  4. Analyze complex risks and make sound decisions on coverage and pricing.
  5. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to inform underwriting decisions.
  6. Collaborate with other departments, such as claims and sales, to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to risk management.
  7. Mentor and train junior underwriters to develop their skills and knowledge.
  8. Monitor and analyze underwriting performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  9. Represent AIG at industry events and conferences to build brand awareness and network with potential clients.
  10. Contribute to the development and implementation of new underwriting products and processes.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Underwriting: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Underwriting, Preferably In The Commercial Insurance Industry. This Experience Should Include A Strong Understanding Of Risk Assessment, Underwriting Principles, And Policy Development.

  • Proven Leadership Skills: A Senior Executive Underwriter Must Have Demonstrated Success In Leading A Team Of Underwriters And Managing Complex Projects. This Includes The Ability To Effectively Communicate And Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams, As Well As Mentor And Develop Junior Underwriters.

  • Strong Analytical And Decision-Making Abilities: The Role Of A Senior Executive Underwriter Requires A High Level Of Analytical Skills And The Ability To Make Sound Underwriting Decisions. The Candidate Should Have A Track Record Of Effectively Evaluating And Mitigating Risk, As Well As Developing Creative Solutions To Complex Underwriting Challenges.

  • Industry Knowledge And Expertise: A Successful Candidate For This Role Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Insurance Industry, Including Market Trends, Regulatory Requirements, And Emerging Risks. This Knowledge Should Extend Beyond Underwriting To Include An Understanding Of Claims, Pricing, And Portfolio Management.

  • Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills: As A Senior Executive Underwriter, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Building And Maintaining Relationships With Key Stakeholders, Including Brokers, Clients, And Internal Teams. Strong Communication And Negotiation Skills Are Essential To Effectively Manage These Relationships And Drive Business Growth.
