  1. Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities within the organization.
  2. Develop and implement security protocols and procedures to mitigate identified risks.
  3. Provide strategic recommendations to senior management on security measures and initiatives.
  4. Stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices to ensure compliance and constantly improve security measures.
  5. Lead and oversee the security team, providing guidance and support in day-to-day operations.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of the organization.
  7. Monitor and analyze security incidents and trends, providing timely reports and recommendations to management.
  8. Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on security protocols and best practices.
  9. Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
  10. Act as a point of contact for external security audits and assessments.
  11. Collaborate with IT teams to implement and maintain security tools and systems.
  12. Proactively identify potential security risks and take appropriate action to prevent or mitigate them.
  13. Represent the organization in security-related meetings and events.
  14. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve security processes and procedures to ensure the highest level of protection for the organization and its clients.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge And Experience In Cybersecurity: The Security Advisory Lead Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Cybersecurity Principles, Practices, And Technologies. This Includes Being Well-Versed In Threat Intelligence, Vulnerability Management, And Incident Response.

  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills: As A Lead Role, The Security Advisory Lead Should Be Able To Effectively Manage And Mentor A Team Of Security Advisors. They Should Also Possess Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Communicate With Stakeholders And Senior Management.

  • Experience In Risk Management: A Strong Understanding Of Risk Management Frameworks And Methodologies Is Crucial For This Role. The Security Advisory Lead Should Be Able To Assess And Prioritize Security Risks, And Develop Strategies To Mitigate Them.

  • Business Acumen: The Security Advisory Lead Must Have A Good Understanding Of The Business Operations And Objectives Of American International Group. This Will Enable Them To Align Security Initiatives With Business Goals And Make Informed Decisions That Balance Security And Business Needs.

  • Relevant Certifications: Professional Certifications Such As Certified Information Systems Security Professional (Cissp), Certified Information Security Manager (Cism), Or Certified Information Systems Auditor (Cisa) Are Highly Valued For This Role. These Certifications Demonstrate A Strong Knowledge And Commitment To The Field Of Cybersecurity.
